How We Choose the Dog Foods We Carry

Ingredients: At Groom, Grub & Belly Rub we look at the quality, digestibility of the ingredients, and the sources of the nutrients that work best for the biology of the dog. You will not find foods made with ingredients of poor nutritional quality such as: animal by-products (head, beak, feet, intestines), digest of by-products meat and bone meal, anonymous meats and unnamed plant products, artificial preservatives, sugars, corn, wheat, soy, added salt or coloring agents.

Nutritional validity and approach: We carry foods made by companies that have a veterinary nutritionist on staff, and who are available to answer our questions.

Manufacturing: We only stock products from companies that make their own foods in the U.S. or Canada with on-site testing labs and a high degree of quality control. Groom, Grub & Belly Rub does not sell any foods made by companies that also sell low grade commercial grades foods for pets.

Environmental and social contribution: We carry foods from companies that do business and buy from suppliers that work in planet-friendly ways, organic ingredients, local suppliers, and companies that charitably contribute to the well-being of dogs and the people who take care of them.
